A vote for Romney is a vote for Rudy

For weeks people have been saying, "A vote for Huckabee is a vote for Rudy." They thought of Mike Huckabee as just a spoiler who had no chance outside of Iowa. Well, this was all before this weekend. Conservatives are now coalescing around Huckabee.

The Rasmussen daily tracking poll now has Mike Huckabee clearly in 2nd place nationally. He is within 5% of Rudy Giuliani who is currently leading. This same poll shows Mike Huckabee a full 6% ahead of Mitt Romney nationally.

Polls in Iowa have Mike in first place, but this is not the only early state in which he is polling strong. New polls show Huckabee in 3rd place in New Hampshire, 3rd place in South Carolina, and 2nd place in Florida. These are all states Huckabee wasn't competitive in until recently.

It is clear that the Republican base is flocking to the Huckabee campaign. Mitt Romney is quickly being pushed aside because voters no longer feel like they need to compromise consistency and authenticity just to have a conservative alternative to Rudy Giuliani. With the momentum that Mike Huckabee now has, it is very likely that he will be in a head to head match up with Rudy on Super Tuesday (Feb. 5th). The hold out conservatives left in the Romney camp need to see this and realize that Huckabee is the true conservative alternative. A vote for Romney at this point is a vote for Rudy.

Huckabee Raises $2 Million Dollars Online in November

The Huckabee campaign has raised over $2,000,000 online in the month of November, surpassing the monthly goal of $2,067,521. This more than doubled their campaign's entire 3rd quarter contribution intake from all sources.

When Mike Huckabee started rising in the polls many people said, "Sure, he's popular, but he doesn't have the money." Well, it looks like the money is coming in now and he is poised to have a terrific 4th Quarter fundraising report.

Just to illustrate the ground swell of support and donations Huckabee has received online: In the entire 3rd Quarter he raised slightly over $1,000,000 from all sources. In just the month of October, he raised slightly over $1,000,000 from just online donations. Finally, this month he not only doubled his 3rd quarter fundraising, he doubled his online donations from last month as well.

December will certainly be an interesting month to watch.

Mike Huckabee is showing he is not just a one trick pony. His rise in Iowa is not a fluke, he is rising in quite a few early states and positioning himself within striking distance of the leader.

Introduction: Why I Heart Huckabee

Politics has gotten too cynical. Many politicians care more about getting elected than they actually care about helping people. Afterall, why compromise on a fix, when you can use it as a campaign issue in the next election? Currently we have a governement of incompetent leaders who either are too cynical to realize we need to fix problems or they are too jaded to care. After working in politics myself I realized that many of them think they are helping people, but they really care more about issues than people.

After spending months undecided about who to support for President, and constantly waiting for Superman to fly out of the sky and save us, I realized the answer to our problems was right under our noses. Mike Huckabee offers the change we need. After studying him for countless hours I realized what many people realize in the first few minutes of watching him... he is a sincere politician.

Mike Huckabee will tell you what he believes, and he is unapologetic about it. He genuinely cares about people and fixing the problems that affect them. He grew up in modest circumstances and he still has not forgotten his roots. He comes across as a common man who everyone can relate with, he doesn't appear unaproachable. Most importantly, this all combines to make a honest politician who genuinely wants to make a difference.

People may disagree with specific stances he takes on issues, but I don't think anyone who watches him will disagree that he is genuine and wants to help people. With Mike Huckabee, what you see is what you get.

The problem with America is, though people whine that politicians aren't honest and sincere... when they notice a politician right under there nose who is, will they do anything about it?
Personally, I would rather loose with Huckabee than win with any other politician. However, I don't think I will have to worry about that once America gets to know him.
